- Baroness Pellet to Mrs Samuel Hoare, about the impression made by Elizabeth Fry in Nimes and Lyons, influencing a clergyman in the first place, called Frossard, to visit the prisons. She also mentions the recent disturbances, her husband's narrow escape from them to the Ministry of the Interior, and the interest she had in Buxton's book, which was shared by M. Agenor de Garpaun (copy), 23 May 1839.
