- Buxton [to Priscilla Johnston], reporting on the meeting at Lushington's house, which had been highly successful, mentioning his presence at the Colonial Office at that time to make an appointment for the deputation to see the Colonial Secretary on the 29th (copy), 27 Apr 1839
- Edward Buxton to Priscilla Johnston, about the arrival of the papers the party at Northrepps had prepared for Buxton on climate and agricultural settlements in time for the meeting, which had gone very well, and his longing for Andrew to be there to assist his father as he felt so incompetent.
