Priscilla Johnston to Anna Gurney, about the poor attendance at the Aborigines Meeting in Exeter Hall, the good speeches, and the fact that the Dissenters had seized power and that the Church would probably withdraw from exerting its influence as a result, 17 May 1838
She mentions her father's speech and those of her uncle, Francis Cunningham, Daniel Wheeler, and Samuel Gurney. She also writes of the amount of work being done by her husband [on Buxton's pamphlet] and the subsequent need for those at Northrepps to condense it.
