He writes of their decision to see Glenelg, their discussion of the government's position, and the line Buxton intended to take, his visit to Spring Rice, and his approval of Buxton's action, the exception taken by the Ministers to Brougham, and their trust of Buxton himself. He describes a visit he had paid to Crawford over the 'Iron Cause', another to the Anti-Slavery Committee to move some resolutions, and a third with a delegation to Glenelg.
