A note by Sarah Buxton records that, on the visit Buxton made to London at the beginning of Feb, he called on Zachary Macaulay, who was ill and believed that he would not see Buxton again, 1838
She quotes Macaulay's words to him that he shared his every opinion about the events in the anti-slavery movement at that time. She also records that Buxton did not see him again and refers to a letter, from Buxton to his wife on this incident, in Letter Case Vol. VII No. 8.
