Circular issued by the Birmingham Anti-Slavery Society recording the resolutions passed at a meeting of the Society on 25 Oct at the Public Office, Birmingham, on the need for inquiries into the apprenticeship situation and the prior need for a meeting in Exeter Hall of anti-slavery delegates on 14 Nov summoning local anti-slavery societies to send delegates to this meeting, 25 Oct-6 Nov 1837
Endorsed with a letter from Robert Stokes to Buxton, of the latter date, urging him to attend the meeting, as neither Lushington nor Macaulay would be able to go, and indicating that both of them were in agreement with Buxton's views, as expressed in the letter to Forster, that the committee of the Anti-Slavery Society thought it should have a definite, alternative policy to propose but that it did not wish to do anything in Buxton's absence.
