George Stephen to Buxton, about the inadvisability of a public meeting at that time and his intention to wait for Buxton's introduction before meeting Lord Sligo, 30 Apr 1837
He refers to a letter from Joseph Sturge that he had passed on to Andrew Johnston. He alludes to Buxton's state of health on leaving London and expresses willingness to wait upon his convenience and return to full health before proceeding with the Committee. He hoped Lord John Russell had been thanked for some unspecified favour. He complains of his brother's lack of promotion and announces his own intended return to London.
