- Andrew Johnston to Richenda Buxton, about the previous night's debate, adding for Joseph John Gurney's enjoyment that the King intended to dismiss the Whigs at the first possible opportunity because of his annoyance at Lushington's 'Bishop Motion' and that the Tories would move for an immediate dissolution to prevent the Whigs benefiting from the extra Irish members who would find new seats at the next election if it should be after 5 Apr, 21 Feb 1837.
