Stokes to Buxton, about a committee meeting that delegated Josiah Forster and George Stacey to approach George Stephen and try to persuade him to forego publication of the correspondence, 8 Jan 1836
He warns that, according to Stephen, the correspondence was already with The Times. Appended is a resolution of the Society nominating Forster and Stacey to convince Stephen that entry of the correspondence in the minute was not done out of hostility towards him since they still greatly appreciated the value of his work for the cause.
