George Stephen to Buxton, indignantly denying his right to ask if he was the author of any paragraph in a public newspaper but acknowledging it as his, 10 Dec 1835
He questions Buxton's authority for claiming the attack was against him, objects to the method by which the Abolition Society had been recorded as agreeing to a measure contrary to their declared principles, and states that it should be investigated.
