Extract from Anna Gurney's and Sarah Buxton's journal about the wedding of Priscilla Buxton to Andrew Johnston on 1 Aug, Buxton's family prayers on that day, and the presentation by his family of a seal, a salver, and a vase to Buxton to commemorate the day, [1834]
They also describe the dinner attended by the men that evening at which a toast was drunk to Priscilla for her part in the work for Emancipation and Hannah Buxton's joy in the day's events.
