Notebook begun 10 Nov 1812, 1812-1837

Held at the Weston Library
This volume bears Buxton's original folio numbers and is one of the common-place books mentioned in the Memoir, p. 48.
Buxton did not work consistently through the pages of this notebook. In it, he made notes for and drafts of speeches and recorded the substance of speeches already made on the Bible Society, the slave trade, and election matters. In the midst of preparing a speech on one subject, he is inclined to write a paragraph on an entirely different subject. This is all in his own hand.
