folder 3 (fols. 1-33) notes, 1900-1949, on Flora's beliefs, views on life, illnesses, her own tribute to her husband's care, last thoughts and messages, with Lugard's letter to his brother after her death, and his notes of the number of letters he had written to her in 1914-1915; also, a letter to a friend in 1940, referring to his loss
