  1. folder 1 (fols. 1-170) chronology and draft study by Joan Wheare of the Kenya Legislative Council, n.d., with comments made by Margery Perham in 1942, and again in Aug 1968, when she reread the material
  2. folder 2 (fols. 1-68) notes on additional material, arranged alphabetically according to subject matter by Joan Wheare, 1905-c. 1939
  3. folder 3 (fols. 1-76) notes by Joan Wheare on the Colonial Office and Parliament and their work for the colonies, 1939-1943
  4. folder 4 (fols. 1-80) notes by Margery Perham compiled for the guidance of Joan Wheare and Martin Wight and commenting on their work, 1944; her note on the original files stated 'Looked at Aug/68. V. Slight value but might skim over much later'.
