The papers in this section of the collection are derived from aspects of Margery Perham's career and interests that were not exclusively academic or territorial. Nevertheless, many links can be found between these and the papers in other sections of this collection. For instance, papers here relating to education in general link with those boxes in each of the territorial sub-sections dealing with education and also with the section on Colonial Studies, yet they are placed in this section because their scope is wider. The arrangement of this section is, for the most part, alphabetical according to subject, but there are small series of boxes which form sub-sections, such as MSS. Perham 715-717, 718-726, 733-735, and 738-740 on economic development, education, the League of Nations and United Nations Organisation, and missions and religion, respectively. This part of the collection ends with a group of boxes containing press cuttings of more general interest, though each box or sub-section includes its own files of press cuttings.
