The Survey was published in 1975 as Country Planning: a Re-Study by Lady Mary Bates and BV Cudmore. This was an updated revision of an earlier survey (of an area of 24 square miles between Chipping Norton, Banbury, Epwell and Deddington) carried out by the Institute, published in 1944 as Country Planning - a Study of Rural Problems; it was the basis of Twenty-four Square Miles, a documentary film made in 1945.
