Biographical / Historical

Brian Havelock Potts went to Kenya as a settler in 1912, where he became a partner in two coffee farms near Thika. He served with the East African Mounted Rifles during the First World War and afterwards returned to coffee farming in the Thika area. Between 1924 and 1931, he farmed maize near Mt. Elgon, but when the market collapsed, he returned to England.
