The papers in this file were gathered together as a result of an appeal made by Mrs Creech Jones in The Times for any papers of her husband in private hands that would be of historic interest. Comprises:
- (fols. 1-2) note found in a notebook after Creech Jones's death about his wishes concerning his papers (written at some time before 1963), n.d.
- (fols. 3-5) letter from Kenneth Kirkwood, Rhodes Professor of Race Relations, to Creech Jones asking him to advise on his more important statements or documents in connection with his book, Britain and Africa, 25 Jun-6 Dec 1961
- (fol. 6) letter from Stephen A. McCarthy, Director of Libraries Cornell University, about ways of disposing of Creech Jones's papers, 23 Feb 1965
- (fols. 7-9) letter from Stanley F. Down to Mrs Creech Jones, enclosing two letters sent to him by Creech Jones about his old school at a time when a television programme about his early life was being discussed, 25 Mar 1965
- (fol. 10) letter from Sir Richard Rees to Mrs Creech Jones quoting a letter from Creech Jones to him about Central African federation and Sir Roy Welensky, 29 Mar 1965
- (fols. 11-13) letter from Tom Hysly, Provost of Denny, to Mrs Creech Jones, enclosing two letters written by Creech Jones to the late Guy Aldred, editor of The Word, 29 Mar 1965
- (fols. 14-28) letter from Christopher Hill, editor of Race, journal of the Institute of Race Relations, about an article on the Pan-African Congress written at his request by Creech Jones; a draft of the article and correspondence about it and about the African National Congress in Durban in 1954 between Creech Jones and O.K. Tambo, 30 Mar 1965
- (fols. 29-30) letter from Harry Franklin, Zambia, to Mrs Creech Jones, enclosing a letter to him by Creech Jones written in 1956 about the Kariba Dam and the wellbeing of Africans at the Northern Rhodesian (Zambian) end of the scheme, 22 Jun 1965
