Notes of sermons, with dates of months but not of years.

In the first book one sermon (fol. 75, on Heb. xiii. 14) is noted as by "Mr. Guise"; in the second book (fol. 79 b) one (on Ps. xlv. 24) by "Dr. Guyse". If this preacher was the non-conformist Dr. Guyse of the eighteenth century, the handwriting exhibits a survival of a style of the end of the preceding century.

Notes of private expenses for breakfasts, suppers, etc., are entered on several pages.
