Its date may be ascertained from the following passage: "The officers in most of his majestyes temporall courts established by law have been lately questioned for their extorted fees [for which they had no patent, nor statute authorizing them to take, interlined] and compounded with his majesty for the same".
The tract corresponds in character with Prynne’s Breviate.
