On sending him a copy of a book by him [apparently that entitled Non ultra; a letter to a learned Cartesian, settling the rule of truth, etc., 1698], together with a copy also for Lord Rochester

The letter is signed "Smith," but endorsed with the writer’s name. He mentions his sending copies of his book to the Vice-chancellors of both Universities, the Pres. of the Royal Society, Locke, Dr. Burnet of the Charter-House, and "Mr. Harris".
