From the place, and from other indications, it appears that the book is that of George Hearne, the father of Thomas Hearne. He received fourpence annually as clerk’s wages from each family in the parish.
At fol. 230 is "A catalougue of books which I have at present" being two in folio, five in quarto, and sixteen in octavo.
