Written by several hands, more or less clumsy, and copied from another and original MS.
On the original cover (a fragment of a deed of sale and surrender by David Davis in 1673 to Simon Knight, of a mansion house and land in Whitechapel leased to him by the said Knight for 60 years), is written, "Madam Bathourst writing but now M. L.", to which is subjoined by another hand, "Mrs. Laughton’s papers. Collections and experiences of the elders of Philadelphian ministration".
