Harmonia evangelica, 18th century
- (fol. 1) i. Fragmentary portions of a harmony of the Greek text of the four Gospels, arranged in four parallel lines. Written in a large and clear, but somewhat singular hand. The portions of St. Matthew extend from chap. xix to xxi, and those of the other Gospels correspond in length, except that of St. Luke the volume begins with a fragment of chap. i.
- (fol. 3 [volume reversed]) ii. Translation of Ps. i.
- (fols. 25-30 [volume reversed]) iii. Propositions respecting the Divine Trinity contained in the first of the Thirty-Nine Articles, with observations intended to demonstrate their contradictions and impossibilities. Written in black and red ink, by the scribe of fols. 1 and 3 [volume reversed], but the writing has a much more singular appearance in English characters than in Greek.
- (fols. 47-58 [volume reversed]) iv. Observations upon Dr. Whitby’s commentary in his Annotations on the N. T. on St. Matt. iv. 10, Acts ix. 14, I. Cor. xii. 8, etc., to prove that worship is not to be offered to Christ.
