The following particulars show the general contents of Volume II:

  1. (fols. 1-51) i. Miscellaneous prayers, partly in Fitzwilliams' hand, with a table prefixed. The contents also include special prayers for particular persons, among them those in fols. 58, 60, 62, 64 and 66.
  2. (fol. 58) ii. Prayer for use by a Jacobite, whose name has been carefully crossed out, under sentence of death.
  3. (fol. 60) iii. Prayer "For the lady Northamp[ton] upon the death of her daughter the countess of Dorset", [1691].
  4. (fol. 62) iv. "A prayer for a lady upon the death of her lord; fitted for lady Russel".
  5. (fol. 64) v. "A prayer for lady Russel, July 19, 1693, after the marriage of both her daughters".
  6. (fol. 66) vi. "Coll[ect] for a widow afflicted for the loss of her husband by a violent death", apparently the widow of the Jacobite mentioned above, a name in the margin being similarly crossed out.
  7. (fol. 69) vii. Letter to the countess of Gainsborough at Titchfield [Mary wife of Edw. Noel, first earl of Gainsborough] condoling on the death of her husband [in 1689], and sending a prayer for her use; Chilton, 31 Aug., n. y.
  8. (fol. 70) viii. "An anniversary prayer for the day of my birth, St. Bartholomew".
  9. (fols. 112-116) ix. "Meditation and prayer on St. John Baptist’s day".

At the end of the volume is a small slip (fol. 119) which was found among these papers, but is written by another hand, containing a list of irregularities and violations of the rubric committed by some parish clergyman.
