Through Holland and Flanders, to Paris, and thence to Rome. At p. 151 is inserted an engraving of the key of the House of Loretto, and at the end of the volume a printed broadside, without date, of the order of a papal procession from the Vatican to the church of St. John Lat.

The series covers the years 1720–1726, Rawlinson travelling in company with his brother Constantine in the earlier part.

Originally in ten volumes, but of these v. and vi. are unfortunately missing, containing the year 1723. Paged continuously to p. 2486, but now wanting pp. 1578–1797.

The volumes are full of descriptions of buildings, pictures, antiquities, and copies of inscriptions, as well as of notices of persons met, including many Englishmen.
