The first leaf (a binder’s fly-leaf) is a fragment of depositions in an ecclesiastical court respecting a dispute between a Dr. Bond and Richard Gravett, a minister, with regard to the right of occupying a seat in a chancel.

On each side of the cover is an obscure Arabic word, and on fol. 2 the initials H. H. [Henry Harrington? See MS. Ashm. 1459, art. 1].
