Bibliography

  • The tract, which was printed anonymously in 1648, has been wrongly ascribed in the Bodleian Catalogue to John Cleveland, from its being included in the edition of his works printed in 1662. But in the edition of 1677, which is said to be "purged" from pieces falsely ascribed to him, it is omitted. Ant. Wood’s copy (Wood, 514. 44) is marked by him with the name "Winnyard," which is thus confirmed by this contemporary transcript.
