Written by a French hand; a French version of the letter written to Gregory XV in 1623, in reply to one from him of 20 Apr. on the negotiations for the marriage with the Infanta. It differs from the text of the Latin copy printed in the Hardwicke State Papers, vol. i. p. 452.
