- (fols. 287-8) iii. Original copy of an affidavit sworn by Pepys about a pass forged by Felix Donluis, or Lewis, 7 July, 1686, and also of a certificate signed by the archbishop of Canterbury and the earls of Rochester and Dartmouth, with Pepys' autograph signature, respecting the same forgery.
- (fol. 289) iv. Letter from Thomas Bowdler to Rawlinson, giving some account of Pepys from the relation of the writer's father; 10 July, 1749. The Pepys papers bought by Rawlinson had been in the possession of Bowdler’s father, and he himself still had great numbers of them, as well as a portrait painted by Kneller or Riley. Endorsed by Rawlinson, "Answerd 1 Aug. 1749".
- (fol. 291) v. Letter from Thomas Bowdler to Rawlinson, forwarding the following paper; 24 Aug. 1749.
- (fol. 292) vi. Copy of the scheme prepared by William Hewer and John Jackson for the settlement of Pepys' library; 20 Apr. 1704. At the end are copies of the admission-entries of Pepys and Jackson from the registers of Magd. coll. Cambridge.
- (fol. 296) vii. Copy of Pepys' own paper of his wishes respectiing the disposal of his library.
- (fol. 298) viii. Letter to Rawlinson from Dr. W. Richardson, promising to collate the copy of the scheme of settlement; E[mman.] c[oll. Cambr.], 27 Aug. 1749. Endorsed, "28 Aug. 1749 Recd. R + R".
- (fol. 300) ix. Copy by Rawlinson from vol. ii. p. 178 of the Memoirs of the Curious, 1708, of an account of the library, etc., then in the possession of John Jackson at Clapham.
