  1. i. about Daniel Finch, earl of Nottingham, being bought over by William III, who purchased his house at Kensington, and entered the price in his account-book as "For the e. of Nm and his house".
  2. ii. about the death of Andrew Fletcher of Saltoun, 16 Sept. 1716, who was only concerned, when dying, for the ruin of his country, "and that he had bin base enough to have kiss’d the hand of the insulting tyrant".
