Shelfmark: MS. Rawl. D. 911, fol. 297
Transcript (with corrections by a legal hand) of a preface prefixed to some treatise with reference to the laws for trials, "composed out of such short notes as I had prepared for the defence of Brigadier McIntosh upon an indictment of high treason, which were afterwards intended to be used at the trial of his brother Duncan McIntosh", which the judge "did disdain to hear," reproaching the advocate with ignorance and impudence.
At the end are added extracts from bp. Andrews’ Preces, with a translation in English verse.
