That from Aug. 1648 he preserved the library at St. James’s against the violence and rapine of the soldiers for three or four months unviolated, and then gave up the custody to major-gen. Ireton; copy.

On the first leaf is pasted a small slip bearing the number "LXXXII", referring apparently to the place of these two papers in some previous collection.
