Respecting a proposed conference with the writer on some points of controversy, in which he desires that their arguments may be respectively committed to writing (copy).

It does not distinctly appear who was the writer, but it would seem probable that the letter is Granville’s from the following passage: "You know my circumstances that I cannot without some hazard visit you, unless it be upon a Sunday, but yet, however, rather than lose the satisfaction of conferring with you (a felicity which the dean of Durham can seldome enjoy) I will venture to waite on you sometimes in the evening". Probably Granville may have then been in danger of arrest for debt.
