Beg. "p. 1. — propose their doubts to you in writeing. [I] Remember not that [I] spoke to any of bringing their doubts to me in writeing, nor in my judgement am I fond of that way, nor can I say where there would be an end of it ... And these [answers] I am free to hear and consider from any of my brethren ... but I am not fond of doing this by private writeing which may be done much easyer by conversation".

The remarks begin by criticizing passages found in chap. ii., part i and in chap. vii., part iii of Kettlewell’s book with regard to his allowance of mixed communion in special cases.

A fragment of a letter addressed "For Mr. Kettellwell" forms fol. 220; the letter itself has almost entirely been destroyed, but a blank portion of the leaf has been used by Kettlewell.
