Congratulating him on obtaining (chiefly by the help of Hayes) a pension from his college, for which the writer canvassed the fellows; Flamsteed promises him £4 a year, to whom he must write his thanks; proposes to send Blondell to the same college, that he may have Howell for an associate; advises him as to his studies, and to be frugal, buying no books but such as he cannot borrow.
