In abusive terms, charging him with calling his wife a jilt for bringing him Welton’s former letter; denying that he ever received and withheld forty shillings given him for Howell, or that he had a set of tables from the latter, and saving that he will desire Mr. Spinckes, Mr. Gandy, Mr. Hawes, and Mr. Doughty to be judges between them.
The names of Howell and Welton are blotted out with ink.
