On the first leaf are the following: "Ad faciendum omnes canes mingere super unum hominem. Ut scias quid joculator fecit. Ut inebries quemcunque volueris. Contra ploratum infantium. Ut scias si mulier concepit. Ut mulier sterilis concipiat;" a charm. At the foot of this page is the name "Jo. hes. Denton," and at the foot of the last page, "Tu Celebris celo Denton sistas prece Christo" (sic).

Several prescriptions are "per me magistrum Gillam, doctor de physike;" and two for the dropsy were respectively proved by dame Joan Sherlle[y] and "magistrum Joh. Fyton".

An explanation is given of the symbols used by "leches" in writing their prescriptions.

These twelve leaves were formerly fols. 68–79 in another volume.
