Proceedings of the synod at Castres, Sep 1626
Signed by Chauve, moderateur, [Denis de] Bouteroue, adjoint, and D[avid] Blondel and [Franc.] Petit, secretaries.
On a fly-leaf used as a cover, which contains a list of names with small sums of money attached, possibly some entries of household accounts, is written "à monsieur Bollenat," i.e. Pierre Bolenat, a pastor who is said in Haag’s La France Protestante to have been present at many synods from 1617 to 1645; and on another slip the MS. is marked as being "original".
Other fly-leaves belonging to the same entry-book of accounts constitute fols. 171, 172, and 248.

Bibliography
- Printed from a different copy in vol. ii. of Aymon’s Synodes Nationaux, 1710, pp. 328–417. Aymon’s text is doubtless less correct, this being an original signed copy; e. g. on p. 417, at beginning of chap. xxxvi, he reads "celle du Berri" for "Bourgogne".
- At the end are copies (1) of a letter from the pastors and professors of Geneva to the synod, dated 16 Aug. 1626; and (2) of the answer of the synod, dated 16 Oct. fols. 105, 107. Of these, different versions (which would almost lead to the supposition of different translations from some original Latin text) are printed by Aymon, at pp. 433, 438, where the second is wrongly dated 16 Dec.
