Hearne adds the copies of the inscriptions and description of the stones. The first is that at Kirk St. Michael, of which the inscription is engraved at the end of Bp. Wilson’s History of the Isle of Man, and in J. G. Cumming’s Runic remains of the Isle, 1857. The second and third at Kirk Andreas; the second being fig. 10 a, plate iii. in Cumming’s book, but very different in character, and the third fig. 9 in the same plate. The second is said in Hearne’s note to be "somewhat defaced, especially the upper end thereof, where (I think) there are two or three characters broken off, Cumming says, "The inscription is very much defaced, and is almost illegible at the beginning and end."
