There is arrived here this day 140 barrels of powder, 2,500 bandeliers, and 400 pairs of pistols; desires to know speedily where they shall be sent, that be may the sooner take his journey to the west.

At the foot is a note [to the Earl of Forth?] from Percy desiring this letter may be shown to the King, and adding that it is his opinion that the arms should be brought to Oxford, followed by a reply that "the King is of opinion the armes should presently be sent to Jermyn."

Endorsed "at three of the clocke, afternoone."
