Two copies; the first a transcript at the end of the 17th or beginning of the 18th cent.; the second probably the original, but imperfect, written in the first half of the 17th cent.

The subjects are, on a nosegay, on a candle choked with grease, on a flame of fire, on a weak and crippled beggar, on rising from bed, on a snake having lost his sting, on the unevenness of the way, on people pressing in to a play, on sitting down to dinner, on two friends [clergymen] meeting and going immediately to the tavern.

The first four are wanting in the older copy.
