This is a small 12mo. tract stitched into the volume. It does not afford any clue (beyond the initial J.) to the name of the person commemorated or to the place where he lived. He is described as "a nice disputant, a grave casuist and a constant laborious preacher," who had been censured "when he first took upon him the office of an elder, which proved verry much to the prejudice of his ministry," had "been said to be a going over to the Nationall Church because he would not be so rude and unchristian-like as to unchristian al of them," and had been "reported to assert transubstantiation."
