In the last two she writes first as a servant to Will. Aglionby, esq., in Charles Street, St. James’ Sq., and then as in receipt of a parish allowance of 1/6d per week. Dunton is addressed as 'Papa' and 'Philaret'. Several of the letters are directed, "For Mrs. Hester Wainhouse" in Lambert Street, Goodman’s Fields. From the letter at fol. 48 it appears that the writer’s name was Mrs. Jones. Dunton’s answers in short-hand are endorsed on some of the letters.
