Her sister the Duchess of Richmond left her nothing, being told she could not inherit on account of her being in France, but bequeathed all her property to Lord Blantyre’s son, a boy 16 years old; consequently she (with her six children) is as unhappy a creature as lives. She went to England in November last to endeavour to reverse the strange will, but Princess Anne and her Council forced her to return three days after landing. Is now endeavouring to be relieved by the power Sir William Godolphin left to his executors to dispose of the surplus of his property. (Marked as being answered on Dec. 1.)
