Drawings of Roman buildings and antiquities, late 16th century-18th century
All the drawings are mounted on thick paper.
- (fols. 1–22) i. A series of twenty-eight drawings, apparently in sepia, by a French artist, towards the end of the sixteenth century, representing buildings in ancient Rome, with several elsewhere, in number about forty-nine or fifty.
- (fols. 23–7) ii. Seven more finished drawings (one in Indian ink) of ancient buildings, un-named, probably executed about the beginning of the eighteenth century.
- (fol. 28) iii. A pencil drawing of a grotesque figure, a dwarf with a gigantic head.
- (fols. 29–34) iv. Seven drawings exhibiting in minute detail various forms of Roman breastplates, helmets, and sandals.
