Secretary to Stephen Poyntz, during his embassies to Sweden and France in 1724–30, and to Horatio lord Walpole at Paris in 1724, and foreign secretary of the Royal Society of London.

A notice of Zollmann is given in Zedler’s Universal Lexicon; and in the preface to lord Whitworth’s Account of Russia, in the second vol. of Dodsley’s Fugitive Pieces, it is said that "a curious set of books" which belonged to him was purchased by Mr. Richard Owen, Cambridge.

The documents are almost entirely in German, or as otherwise indicated.
