A critical attack upon the Bible, in English and French, by a Deist, written in the form of dialogues between P. and S., and divided into two volumes, vol. 1, 18th century
A rough first copy (in some disorder and not perfect, with additions inserted on attached slips of paper).
All attempts to trace the alleged Latin original, the author or the translator, have as yet been unsuccessful.
The first volume is in French, and its contents are these:—
- (fol. 134b) i.
- (fols. 1-132) ii. Chapters 6-13 of the first volume of the work, of which chaps. 2-5 are contained in fols. 292-368 of MS. Rawl. D. 855. Beg. "Bel étoit aussi appellé Balin".
- (fols. 135-363) iii. Chapters 1–15 of the second volume. "Chap.
