Pay-books ingrossed by Antony Pontesbury, "clerk to the said accomptant".

The accounts furnish particulars of all the work done, the names of all the persons employed, and the rates of payment.

(Fastened in at the beginning are two fragments of private accounts in 1655, in Hertfordshire, of "Mr. Nedham," i.e. Geo. Nedham of Wymondley Priory.)
