Minute-book of the Company of Whipmakers, London, 13 Nov 1730 to 7 Sep 1738
At a meeting held on 23 Dec. 1731, it was agreed that the Company (established by Letters Patent) should be dissolved; and thenceforward the business was carried on by a company of partners (Henry Binfield, John Underwood, Robert Dowley, John Nickells, and Alex. Bunyan) under the name of H. Binfield and Co., until 7 Sept. 1738, when it was finally broken up. One other partner, who (with the rest) signs the earlier minutes, was Edw. Jeffs.
